Refund andCancellation Policy

This policy explains when and how refunds work for purchases made on the ALTAI platform. Payments are processed by Creem as the merchant of record. Refund requests are assessed by ALTAI; approved refunds are processed through Creem.

1. Who processes your payment

When you buy credits or subscribe to a plan, payment is collected by Creem (creem.io) on our behalf. Creem issues the invoice and handles taxes where required. Refunds for eligible purchases are processed through Creem after we approve your request. For Creem's own terms and buyer policies, see their website.

2. Eligibility for refunds

We may issue a refund in the following situations:

  • Unused credits: If you have not consumed any credits from a credit pack and request a refund within 14 days of the purchase date, we will generally refund the purchase price. We may require you to confirm that no usage has occurred.
  • Duplicate or erroneous charge: If you were charged in error (e.g. duplicate transaction, wrong amount), we will refund the erroneous amount once verified.
  • Service failure: If we were unable to deliver the service you paid for (e.g. persistent technical failure on our side that prevented use of purchased credits), we may offer a full or partial refund after review.

Refunds are at our discretion and subject to verification. We are not obliged to refund once credits have been consumed or after the 14-day window for unused credits, except where required by law (e.g. consumer rights in your jurisdiction).

3. When we do not refund

  • Credits that have already been used (e.g. for synthetic dataset generation or fine-tuning) are generally non-refundable.
  • Requests made more than 14 days after purchase for unused credits may be declined unless we agree otherwise or the law requires a refund.
  • We do not refund for change of mind or partial use of a credit pack once any portion has been consumed.

4. How to request a refund

Send your refund request to hi@altai.dev with your account email and the transaction or order details. We will review your request and respond within a reasonable time. If approved, the refund will be processed through Creem to the original payment method; timing may depend on Creem and your bank or card issuer.

5. Chargebacks and disputes

If you have a problem with a charge, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve it. Chargebacks (disputes raised with your card issuer) may be contested by Creem and can lead to account suspension. Refunds handled through us are the preferred way to resolve billing issues.

6. Subscriptions

If we offer subscription plans, you may cancel at any time from your account or the customer portal. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not automatically refund prior payments. Refunds for subscription fees are considered on a case-by-case basis (e.g. unused period, service failure) in line with this policy.
